Our history:
A Tradition of Hospitality Since 1951
Hotel Bologna was founded in 1951 by grandfather Umberto, who came from a small village near Bologna. After the Second World War, he left his hometown and decided to fulfill his dream of starting a new business in Brunico.
Starting a business in South Tyrol during those years required determination, vision and perseverance. With the support of his family and a genuine passion for hospitality, Umberto created a hotel that continues to welcome guests with the same warmth and dedication.
In 1974 the hotel underwent a complete renovation and became one of the first hotels in Brunico to offer private bathrooms in every guest room, a remarkable innovation at the time.
Over the years, the property has continued to evolve. In 2002, a modern kitchen and a cosy wellness area with a Finnish sauna were added to further enhance guests' comfort.
Today, more than seventy years after its opening, Hotel Bologna is still proudly managed by the Bertolani family, now in its third generation. The same commitment to genuine hospitality, combined with modern comforts and personal service, makes every stay a memorable experience in the heart of South Tyrol.
